So three days till I head out on another adventure, this will be the second time back to Orlando for work, first time was just before summer last year. The downside it was a pain in the ass to plan this trip, and it dawned on me why, duh, its spring break, so I get to go down to FL with all the college kiddies who are on vacation.
Even though it was tough I managed to still get a decent hotel, a suite rather than plain room, I hate just getting a regular room, I prefer some comfort when I travel. I just have to hope for the room to have a decent size fridge so that I can do some food shopping, that is all I am worried about now. Trying to eat on the cheap while I am there.
I do hope to get some actual writing done while I am down there, so we will see if I can make that happen, I don’t see why not. Not like I will have anything else better to do. It will be work from 8 – 5 and then back to the hotel, get in a workout, eat some dinner and relax and write.
I will get to do the same thing again in a few weeks but this time it will be in Alabama. I have been there three times, well actually 4 times before. I like it there, so looking forward to making that trip again. Later on in the summer I will be back in Texas again, after just having been there a week ago, and twice before in the summer.
Well that is all for now, the fun part is packing, and having to pack for completely different weather conditions.
Till I am off traveling again for work. This time I will spend 2 weeks in Orlando, FL, but first I have to get through another N’Easter here at home, the one from last week was bad enough. I had my flight canceled coming back from Austin, TX as I arrived at Dulles International. I then had to rent a car and drive for 7 hours (usually a 2.5 hour drive) in order to get home the day I was supposed to.
This was caused by the closure of 2 of 3 bridges across the Susquehanna River, and eventually the closed the third but not till after I got across it.
But I finally got home, and now I get my 7 days at home before heading out again. Hopefully the weather will be decent in FL, that will be the highlight of going there. The other thing I hope to spend some time doing while there is getting some writing done.
After this trip I am expecting to either go back to Austin, TX or to Huntsville, AL, my preference is to go to Huntsville, so hopefully that is the trip I get to make.
Was also nice to get back and do a real workout, trips make for usually nothing but cardio getting done which is fine, but I miss my regular workouts. But at least I am getting workouts done so this is still a good thing.
Last thing, I talked a few days ago about my wife’s food issues, its funny as I told her yesterday about what my eating intentions would be going forward she literally balked at how 1900 calories per day was entirely too much, though my requirements are more like 2800 per day. But I guess she has gone so long not eating properly she doesn’t get it. I came to the realization that if I got her to eat normal for too long she would probably gain 20+ pounds because her metabolism is shot out from eating less than 700 calories a day for so long. Her body is in a perpetual state of thinking its starving so she won’t ever lose any weight, and I can’t tell her that or she will stop eating altogether.
But that is it for now.
So I work as my full time gig as a federal gov’t contractor, so I am right now sitting on the edge of my seat hoping they vote to re-open the gov’t today, though it doesn’t affect me, it does my wife, I get to come to work, while she is now sitting at home because of the shutdown. According to what I have heard thus far it appears they will re-open it today.
I have been bad at this point and haven’t posted a lot recently which is not good of me, just been busy with life. My weekend was pretty busy, my sons B-Day was on Saturday, he turned 23, and in a couple of weeks my granddaughter turns 1, time has flown that is for sure.
I have since started back at regular workouts focusing more just on strength training, and that is working out better as far as I am concerned, so this weekend was just cardio workouts, so on Saturday I rowed for about 25 minutes and on Sunday we just went for a nice long walk with our dog more than 2 miles.
So all in all a nice weekend.
Of course back at work now, really can’t get much done with the gov’t being shutdown all the people I need to do things for me are all furloughed and all, so I am just hanging out and making it look like I am working.

Shit I know again, it happens every week right. It is not like we can get rid of it and all, it is going to happen no matter what. And even if we could somehow eliminate Monday then Tuesday feels like Monday and so on.
For me this sucks even more because my job feels like Ground Hog Day the movie, everyday is a replay of the same day over and over again, doesn’t matter at all what is going on, unless I am traveling it is the same and then really even when I travel it is still the same. The travel part does break up the monotony a little bit for sure, but I don’t have to do that till the end of February. But then I have a whole boatload of traveling then, with trips in February, March, April and May, to all different locations.
The weekend for me was OK, it was brutally fucking cold here though, so stayed in for the most part, as I was by myself, the wife is in the National Guard and was in NJ for the weekend doing her thing, I used to go with her, but haven’t since we don’t have anyplace to stay without spending money we don’t have at this point.
This week is a bit better than normal at work though, I have a small amount of work to actually do so that is a good thing, though I will be done with most of it by Wednesday at the latest.

Well for me it is, this wonderful three day week has me all sorts of fucked up with timing, and then next week is just going to be 4 days. But I am OK with that at this point.
However I am not OK with it being under 20 degrees again today, not quite sure why after all my life in the NE that I am still not used to the cold when winter comes along. And it has roared in this month with both snow and now wind and cold. Please go away! And more snow to come this weekend as well.
Still working this training stuff at work, it is really fun, NOT! I have 10 more modules to finish by the 2nd of January, good thing I found out I can get an extension, which I will be looking into tomorrow, going to need it as I won’t get but 4 maybe 5 of them done by then, all depends on how long it takes me to get through the tests.
All in all just another boring day at the office for sure. In between I have been doing some more exciting reading though, nothing like a couple of erotic stories here and there to get a good boner going while sitting at your desk…LOL

Yes, with 2018 around the corner that of course always has everyone thing about what is to come, for me that is easy, I have some clearly defined goals for 2018, and here is what I am looking to make happen for myself:
– Land a gov’t job
– Gotta earn an extra 55K (to pay our CC debt off in full.)
– Get my Firearms Training business up and completely running and earning money.
– Start publishing short stories on Amazon (erotica).
– Start writing my novel, and publish to Amazon by the end of 2018 or sooner.
– Possibly renew my Personal Trainer certification, started working towards this, just not sure if I will actually do that, it isn’t a must do just a maybe.
– Finish my weight loss quest, I am down about 7 lbs and my intention is to get under 200, maybe around 195, but with a much lower body fat than I have currently.
I think this is more than plenty to accomplish in the new year, the most important is to pay off our debt.
